I remember in the novel, Han Li had a very good impression of Wen Qiang and they kept this in the animation. The Lawlz part is when Wen Siyue asked Han Li who was just passing by to save her and her Dad, Han Li was legit confused how come she knows him.

Then she tells him Ziling had put up his portrait for everyone in Wondrous Sound Pavillion to revere him. Han Li was probably "B-But I'm a Cultivator, I don't practice being worshiped! A-And for some reason I feel violated!"
(This might be more so in Animation Han Li's case because he's actually good looking dude and Wondrous Sound Pavilion I recall was dominated by females)

It was strongly implied in the novel that Ziling/Wang Ning is the reincarnation of one of the Mo Family's sisters during the course of Han Li's Cultivation at the upper echelons levels. At that level, it practically 100% clements this as a fact, not a rumor. This fact you keep insisting to be a rumor came from the Chinese Community because of Samsara.

Can't help but wonder if Er Gen took a page of RMJI, with Meng Hao's story in 'I Shall Seal the Heavens'. Meng Hao experience a time out in the sea, islands killing and living off Monster core to the point of developing an aura of all the dead sea monster he killed. Anyways both authors have a way of world building I enjoy. Especially Er Gen's mortal Arcs, which are share to a degree with RMJI.

Er Geng is probably a friend of Wang Yu, since Er Geng voice acted as Han Li's master, Li Huayuan and Wang Yu voice acted as Yao Lei, the merchant that was selling items to Han Li as well as playing Mahjong with Huayuan
